See, your regurgitation of the Sarah Sanders' talking points about Trump simply reciting "the facts" is why sincere political discussions are impossible. It is like how Trump supporters claimed he did not mimic a disabled person when taped video showed exactly that. So if people can't agree upon what IS captured on video, and that was Trump ridiculing this woman and her recounting of what she recalled, then the hope for any meaningful debate is useless. But here is what I can tell you about sexual assault and domestic abuse - for those that declare "legitimate" offenses are reported immediately, I say bullshit and shame on a person for believing that claptrap. I have been in rooms with sexual assault victims and domestic violence victims and have seen exactly what people suggest is why women/victim's don't report these things - the system does victimize them again. These victim's often times believe their victimization was their own fault. On top of this, I have worked a career in a field that is filled with rampant gender discrimination and sexual harassment. In fact, years ago I sat in a room with female officers and human resources people regarding gender issues and was stunned at how many women recounted episode after episode of sexual harassment (even assaults) but chose not to report any of it. Sadly, a couple of them making comments such as, "sometimes a woman just has to put up with certain things to work in a man's occupation." And these women were COPS!And if people, especially male conservatives, do not believe what Trump did the other day will only reinforce what these victim's feelings and beliefs, well, they are living in Lindsay Graham land.
