Last weekend I had one of the weirdest concert experiences I ever had. I consider myself extremely broadminded in my music taste (only stuff i really loathe is Rap, the hardest metal and classical that is so modern that I cant figure out what the hell is going on).So when I got wind of a new outfit called Heilung (translates as Healing from german) playing bronze-age trance-music that had gotten good reviews should play at our best concert-hall(sound-wise - and given my age seats as well ;-) ) (It is home to the national symphony!)
I new one of the names from another danish pagan folk group called Valravn so I convinced 3 friends that this could be fun and off we went. Setting the stage:
Turns out I was right - half the audience had dressed in semi-serious viking garb (I had gone all out and had a rabbits paw around my neck - cough), once the lights dimmed a dwarf appeared blowing some sweet pine-like incense into the hall and then we got sort of like this for the next our and a half (this is from a different performance but it is pretty close):
Note this should be played REALLY loud and with a sub woofer or some good headphones for full effect...
