It's strange to me that Cruz won because Cruz is exactly the sort of
candidate Republican/Conservative/Right Wing voters were voting out. Cruz
is your typical do nothing, totally bought and paid for, could not care
less about his constituents, swamp monster that they CLAIM to want to be
rid of.
He is pretty much the Hillary Clinton of the Republican party. He runs
for president but can't win because even people in his own party can't
stand him.
Literally, nobody wants Cruz around...well, except a block of Texas
voters.
All Cruz has done is prove over and over he has no character, no
backbone, and that he stands for nothing and nobody except wealthy donors
and whomever he thinks can help him win reelection. The guy even stabs
his own family members in the back.
So, O'Rourke gave these voters a real choice this year. He is a
fighter,
a guy with character, a guy that actually believes in listening to and
working for his constituents...a guy so much better than Cruz it was
ridiculous...and I know it is not hard to be better than Ted Cruz.
So, I believed Cruz was Hillary Clinton...a candidate so smelly and
disgusting there were voters that could not even vote for him if they
wore gas masks to the polls.
I was wrong. I guess a good portion of Texans like that stink.
