Brushing aside my partisan memory this weekend, listening to the friends and family of President George H.W. Bush; I strolled through a wooded path onto an ocean beach whose outgoing tide of remembered diplomatic competence, respect for the office, personal humility, sincere friendships, and an unfettered obligation to serve this country I hoped would return one day, temporarily turned Trump's desolate desert of presidential dereliction just a little bit green.
