I am late to this show and have just finished the first season and the first episode of the second season.Before being able to make a complete opinion I need to watch the rest of the series and to do some further reading on what was left out and what was glossed over. With that, it seems to me that the focus on Steven Avery overwhelms the true injustice of this and that is of his 16 yr old nephew. What I have seen of his case is disgusting. Just down in the gutter disgusting. Just, wow. And while watching it, it made me wonder just what fucking planet did the jurors in the nephew's trial come from? My goodness, the kid's first attorney and the attorney's investigator not only did a horrible job, but they also did not do a "job" at all, and in fact, co-prosecuted that kid as well. Both of those bastards should be sanctioned and removed from their respective occupations. Here is one other sad thing - in both investigations (and I'm not sold on Avery's innocence at all) the investigators used methods and techniques (mainly interrogations) that have been widely criticized for years. They created that kids' confession for him and then all the courts that upheld that crap. But sickeningly so, it was like the one woman attorney for the nephew pointed out - the US Supreme Ct does not care if innocence is apparent or not, it is about procedure and violations of the US Constitution (many years ago Scalia admitted this).
