Yes, I think the basic issue is Pelosi only wants to start an impeachment process if it is a slam dunk. It is not a slam dunk unless they get 20 Republican senators to agree they want Trump impeached. Obviously, right now they don't have that. I think maybe at this point there may be a maximum of 10, probably less, that would consider it. That still leaves them well short. However, there are movements within the Republican party that are pushing for impeachment.

There need to be a whole bunch of open hearings first anyway. Hopefully, these hearings force these Republican senators into a position where the info about what Trump has been doing is all over the news and they are forced to either defend him or say what they really feel...that he is a dangerous, traitorous moron that is destroying their party and selling out our nation.

The other thing is that between all the stalling on everything the Trump people are doing and how much needs to be done this whole process will probably run us right up into 2020 at which point they will be up against the election. So, this is why there are people saying we should just forget about impeachment and vote him out instead.

They should have the hearings, get all the info about what scum Trump is in front of the people but Team Trump is now just trying to run out the clock so they can't impeach him before the election.
