The news came out a few days back about a fire 10 years ago that destroyed a
significant amount of master recordings from Universal Music Group. At the
time of the fire UMG downplayed the significance - but as the recent reporting
is showing - a huge chunk of very important musical documents were lost. The
article I'm posting includes a more thorough accounting of artist's material
affected - among them David + David. Presumably the masters for Boomtown.

I have to wonder if that vinyl release I talked about a few years ago will
end
up being the definitive release. Probably - it does sound good.
