While we're on the figures of how much some people post etc...I did a little analysis myself. Some facts:
1. At max, reflected in well observed posts, like most of DB's..there are not more than 150, TOPS 200 people that frequent this site (this includes all voyeurs).
2. Of the people who frequent, only 75 post, or have posted more than once. (check the Archives). I know this leaves out earlier postees, but the figure is probably not far off reality.
3. Therefore, KDB's absence (and I prefer to think of it as a cyber-sabbatical), will impact this board by 1.3%. That is an attrition of 1.3% of a contributor/contributors in one fell swoop. That's not insignificant. Not good news. Imagine if there were just 2 or 3 more "regulars" who got disenchanted and split. Pretty soon, we'll have just a handful of folks, literally "talking to themselves". We have a very small web site participating group, as it is, so it's just something to seriously think about. We all may not get along or agree...just agree to disagree. It's a real drag, that someone like Kent feels the need to quit; what kind of environment has been created to spawn that decision? The livelihood or worthiness of this site will depend on your PARTICIPATION.
So remember..."Only YOU can prevent forest fires", and as uncle Dave has written in a song somewhere.. " I say live and let live etc.."
Let's all take a deep breath, and try not to step on each other's pretty little toes.
Thanx,
Geeno
