that they know it would not matter.  Not one bit.  And it is almost like they are holding out for that later appointment in another Republican administration in the future. 

I told a friend recently that I think the only thing that will sway the Trump cult is for him to do something utterly defenseless (but I really don't know what that could be).  But something along the lines of what Martin Sheen did in Stephen King's Deadzone movie (picks up a little kid as a shield from a sniper).
