President Trump:  Everything I say is a lie.

Yes, basically they have used this in several situations before. Claiming that things he said were a joke or meant to stoke media fires. It's the "Bullshit defense" where they just claim the president is a bullshitter and is just bullshitting everybody. 

"That's how he is and how he works."

I think what is interesting is Republicans in the House and Senate are offering no defense of Trump whatsoever. This is a CYA move because they all know he's a criminal and operates like a criminal. So, all they do is try to attack the investigators and throw out random nonsense and lies about "what we can't see."

Their big defense is just "Well, yes, he did it but it is not enough to impeach." 

That's pretty goddamn hilarious. If Obama had done this the Republicans would not just want to impeach him they would be screaming for public executions.

Plus obviously there are several Republicans that are completely involved in all this and have also been working with Russians...apparently Nunes is also involved with Parnas. 

The Republicans have to lie and spew nonsense because they have no other option. This is what Trump has done to them. He lies his ass off so they have no choice but to lie as well because telling the truth is damaging to Trump and to them as well because they have gone along with so many of his lies. They are so tangled up the truth is just not an option.

If they were smart, and they seem not to be, they would just impeach him because Trump has every intention of taking as many of them down with him as he can. He is loyal to no one.
