It occurred to me last night that Republicans will in no way allow Trump to be removed from office. They can't afford to have him turn on them should he find himself on the outside looking in. Imagine Trump being forced from office and sitting on the sidelines stewing about it. He takes to Twitter with his cult following and turns his attacks on a GOP that he feels didn't defend him as he believes they should have. I wonder what the damage to the Party would be if the cult of 38% or even a quarter of them followed him? How many would be left to vote for Pence and the other down-ballot campaigns? I can't imagine a scenario where the GOP allows that to happen.
