Man, I don't know about everyone else, but finding joy in this world seems to be getting harder and harder. From culture, politics, the environment, and all other things, joy seems to be being eaten alive.

For one thing, I simply can't fathom how Trump has the support he does and from everyday good people at that.  I seriously can't think of one redeeming quality about this man - not one.  From ridiculing disabled people to abusing women, to attacking anyone that does not agree with him, to giving passes to white supremacists to all of it.  Even his religion is fake.  It is to the point where no one of a rational mind, expect deplorables, could not be logically disproven when claiming he has one admirable quality (now watch, some excuser will throw up the "economy" as an excuse to give this man a pass on his horrible character.  Fuck that and here's why - ANY president would most likely be having the same economy, or at the least, any president that would unleash unfettered, predatory capitalism upon the American people would be rolling in the same economy).

It just seems to me that the truly important things in this world are slowly being eaten away at and replaced with meaningless bullshit, while those that truly could make a difference are standing silent for whatever reasons. 

Get this - my retiree health care PREMIUM for a family of six is clocking in at 17k this year.  Yes, 17,000 for monthly premiums and that is the premium and does not include the out of pocket and deductibles.  I keep telling people that the only way health care is going to decrease in cost is when other business interests start getting pissed off health care is taking too much of the economic pie out of their pockets.  They won't give a shit about the American paying, but instead of the decrease in their ability to sell THEIR shit to Americans.

Then, as Dan pointed out, the fires in California and Australia.  Throw that in with the current wacko in Brazil and his cutting down of the Amazon rain forest for development. 

We people really are warts on this earth.....
