In a recent edition of New York magazine some clown wrote an article titled something like "You have to be insane to support Bernie Sanders."
It was one of those perfectly timed idiotic hatchet jobs designed to come out because Sanders is surging and really because he remains hovering at the top of all polls. The article was, as usual, ridiculous.
However, people are so loaded with fear about losing to Donald Trump that essentially articles like this are doing Trump's work for him.
In most polls Sanders is leading in Iowa, New Hampshire, and California. If Sanders starts out with momentum winning both Iowa and New Hampshire and Warren posts poor numbers coming in third or fourth in those states...we will kick off what will quickly start to look like a two horse race between Sanders and Biden. In California, Biden is hovering around 15% and falling. That means he would likely end up with zero delegates from the California primary. In other words he is tanking.
Despite what the media is saying the field does not look like they are going to keep up with those two.
Bloomberg coming in has drained support from some of the other candidates but I think the truth is it will come down to Bernie and Joe. They just are the two candidates with the most name recognition and that excite the two factions of "Democrats" that will decide this contest.
Bernie excites the people and Joe excites the people that run the party.
Interesting that this is the same dynamic that drove the 2016 election for Democrats. The party had their candidate, the safe one, the one that could not lose, the sure thing, the one that they chose over Biden asking him to step aside...and they went all out smearing Sanders to try to knock him down and after a long, desperate and bitter fight that tore the party apart because it drove voters away from Hillary...Sanders was taken out...and Hillary marched on to lose the election in typically rotten fashion.
Now that same dynamic has begun again. Smear Bernie, even though he is a fund raising God and they admit that, and promote Joe despite the fact that Joe has been around forever, never excited voters, is in the midst of a giant outrageous smear campaign by Republicans that involves his son, and he has handled horribly, Hillary is out smearing Bernie hard, and the DNC is all about repeating their mistake.
AWESOME! 4 more years of Donald Trump!
Only this time Trump will be completely off his leash because he won't have to run again so he will go hog wild doing whatever he dreams up or his masters tell him to do. Strap in!
Now, the big question is why the fuck would the Democrats do this again?
Do they want to win? If Sanders is their candidate because that is who the people choose will they intentionally tank the election and hand Trump 4 more years? I would not put it past them and through some amazingly stupid behavior they have set up this scenario. Is Hillary going to take back that "Nobody likes Sanders and he never did anything!" if he wins the nomination. No, she's not. Is anybody in the DNC going to tell her to shut up and go away because she is not helping...no, they are not.
The absolute worst person in Hillary's world that could win the presidency in 2020 is Bernie Sanders. It would be so ugly for the Clintons it would be near unimaginable. Trump beating whomever the Democrat might be would be her dream because it would show that it was not just that she stunk so bad as a candidate she lost to a piece of crap like Trump...she could then just say "See, the country is full of deplorables it's not just that I stink."
Hence why Hillary won't shut up and there is a 50 million dollar lawsuit against her for spewing shit about another Democrat.
What has happened every time the Democrats launch a smear on Bernie...he surges and raises more money. Hhhmmm...
So, where is the answer to the why in this stupidity?
Why am I babbling about Hillary Clinton who is not running...sort of...am I some sort of foaming at the mouth woman hating "Bernie Bro" that can't let go of the past?
No...I am a person that wants to see Trump lose this election by a landslide and that will vote for any one of this group of Democrats. Whomever wins the nomination I will back them 100% because Trump with 4 more years is probably the most dangerous thing this country has ever faced.
The answer is that DNC/Clinton Democrats fear Sanders more than Donald Trump. I believe they think 4 more years of Trump is better than President Sanders.
And no, it is not because of all the stupid shit and nonsense they spew about Bernie...it is simply a matter of power. See these people that love the Clinton way have run the party since Bill was president. And boy, have they done a shit job of it. They have run elections where they have lost to utter disasters like George W. Bush TWICE and Donald Trump...once so far.
This is outrageous. The loss to Trump was utterly unforgivable. They lost to a guy that people knew was nothing but a scam artist, a racist, and even had on video tape talking about "grabbing women by the pussy."
They lost because they have no idea what the fuck they are doing and they have no idea how to appeal to the people in this country.
And here's why they really don't want Sanders. Is is not about his policy, it is not about baggage, it is not about the idiotic socialist thing. It is about the fact that if Bernie wins he becomes the leader of the Democratic party and as such he can remake it. This includes the DNC. He can tell the people there "Thanks for your service and goodbye. We are going in a new direction and I have new people I am putting in place."
It would be an end to the Republocrats. It would end the love affair the DNC has had with the Clintons and end their vice grip on the party.
This is why we get crazed articles on how Bernie Sanders is insane, his supporters are insane, his policy will bankrupt the country. All utter nonsense from people desperately trying to cling to what has not worked and what will no longer work.
The Republican party under Trump is dead. It no longer exists. However, there are the "Clinton" Republocrats which in truth now are the last vestiges of the Republican party. So, really Biden should be a safe candidate that even Republicans should be able to vote for.
When it comes to the voters though in those states that turned on Hillary Clinton...those voters...the independents and the Obama voters that voted for Trump, and all those 18-35 year olds that wanted to vote for Sanders but just did not vote due to the epic disaster the DNC created going all in with Hillary...do I think those voters will turn out for old Uncle Joe or for Bernie Sanders?
It's not even close in my mind. If you want a "landslide" victory for Democrats you better give them a real choice this time.
