If I had to list just one lesson the Democrats need to learn from Trump and his supporters and are failing to pay attention to, it is that he has shown voters are pathological loyal to a politician they believe will fight for them no matter what.

Like so many others, I have banged my head against the wall trying to use logic and traditional political study as to why Trump supporters are so loyal and from the articles I have read, it seems what his followers believe strongest about Trump is that he will fight on their behalf (even if he really doesn't!). 

I have read pieces by religious people, political pundits, and others, and it seems most of his followers as seeing Trump as a David to that of a Goliath and they don't care anything about his behavior so long as they believe he will fight for THEM. 

And I think one incident perfectly shows this and that was of the young lady driven over a couple of years ago in Virginia.  I mean, really, in a rational state, how can anyone accept Trump's words after that (about how there are good people on both sides of white supremacy).
