For those that stream television, there is a free movie channel called Tubi. It has a really good selection of offbeat movies, which includes a large number of foreign films.

I learned of a Ukraine movie from a blog I follow called The Tribe.  All around, it is one of the most interesting films I've seen in some time.  Be forewarned, it is graphic and has one very cringe-worthy scene. 

From the filming, to the content, to the actors - it's all interesting.

The film is about a deaf late teen male sent to a brutal school for the deaf where the students do all they can to survive and thrive.  There is no dialog or subtitles and only sign language, but the viewer can follow the story.  The movie is filmed with a wider angle lens which allows body language to aid in the story telling (I have always believed that American visual mediums rely too much on headshots and facial reactions in storytelling).

This film also sticks with you afterward; or at least it is me.
