Icon White Boy Rick/White Boy documentary...

EEE (view)

I just saw the movie White Boy Rick and then the documentary White Boy.  These two are about a man named Richard Wershe, Jr.  Back in the 80s at the age of 14 he was mostly intimidated into becoming an informant for the FBI and a Detroit, MI detective.

He was a smart teen and then eventually started peddling dope and was arrested at 17 with enough cocaine to get him a life sentence by law.  The law was later overturned, but his sentence not so. He ended up doing 29 yrs in prison.  There are tons of irregularities in his case, but in 2017 he was paroled and then sent down to Florida for a different 5 yr prison sentence.

I bring this up because watching these two films shows how lousy governmental people are and how often NO ONE is ever held accountable or even gives enough of a shit to even lake stake in their decisions.

Another disgusting thing about this who mess was Wershe Jr did what the Feds wanted and they really failed to live up to their end of the bargain and on top of that, a man interviewed admitted to 30 murders and only did 17 years after he cooperated with the government.

From the documentary, it appears Wershe Jr was only released when the hitman stated he was going to go on the record about two government employees to kill Wershe Jr and one of them was a homicide detective/commander and candidate for Detroit mayor.

Anyway, it is just so sickening to me when people in government refuse to do the right things, especially when it is in their power to do so and then are held accountable for their failure.

Both are compelling to watch and will probably turn your stomach.
