Totally agree, Mick, and if Biden wins, and that's still "if", I would bet his first phone calls are to Merkel and Macron. It would be the most important signal to send! I'll say this about the Trump presidency, it has made me appreciate our institutions and alliances! I, and a lot of others, have taken them for granted. No more!
Given the Trump cult, the rise of Qanon, the rise of global authoritarianism, and documentaries like The Social Dilemma, I have gained valuable insight into how easily people can have their brains hijacked. I mean, I rail against religion, frequently, but these secular forms hadn't really got my attention much, until now.
People just have to find meaning in their lives!
