Essentially how the media is following and reporting the story. I mean I do understand when you have the president of the United States saying things about how he intends to undermine and destroy our democracy...well...you do have to report on it seriously and take his threats seriously.
However, I also think the obvious thing that is occurring here is that for Trump it is always about the scam and getting the money...ALWAYS! So, I am quite skeptical about the idea that Donald actually thinks he won. I think he knows he lost but he is going to continue to spew lies, conspiracy theories, and nonsense because as long as his supporters think he is still "fighting" to remain president they will keep sending him money.
This is all he is after and needs to be kept at the forefront of the conversation about what he is doing. Yes, he is openly breaking the law as president by attempting to undermine a US election, seriously the biggest and most open attempt to do so in our history. Yes, he is doing the bidding of his buddy Putin as he does it. That's just a bonus for Trump at this stage though.
I mean perhaps Trump is just the biggest whiney baby that has ever lived. Perhaps he is totally insane. These things seem like they are most likely true but I also believe that the extended attempt to deny the election results is not just about his ego and his stupidity but that there are actual goals he is attempting to achieve. Here is what they are:
1. Con his supporters out of as much money as he can. It's always about the money, Lebowski.
2. Send a message to Republicans he is not going to surrender his grip on the party.
3. Attempt to keep his name in the headlines daily by whatever means he can.
4. Keep his supporters focused on him, selling them the idea he did not lose and they should continue to support him even after he leaves the White House.
5. Keep the country in as big a state of confusion, division, and chaos as he can.
These five points far outweigh the idea he actually thinks he won. That idea serves little purpose and even if he has a massively bruised ego and he is doing nothing but whining and moping...I think he will always keep his eyes on the prize...which are the 5 points above because they most benefit him once he leaves office.
Also, there is a great deal of evidence these 5 goals are his main focus. Take a look at this CNN clip where Briana Keilar discusses Trump's latest crazy rants and keeps her focus on how insane they are:
This video exposes the problems involved with how the media reports on what Trump is doing and while I understand she is probably avoiding the real reason he is doing it (the 5 points above) she does speculate on his sanity...an obvious question but if you are going to do that mention the 5 reasons he is doing it.
Also the clips of Trump talking in the video clearly back up the 5 goals. He threatens Republicans, he claims the FBI and DOJ are in on the scam, he even states that "we don't have to prove any of this" which is obviously not going to fly in a court, with the DOJ, or FBI that all require proof to move forward. This is why they have now tossed out 38 of his lawsuits because they entered courtrooms with not a shred of evidence. The fake lawsuits are direct proof that what Don and Rudy are doing is just a PR campaign and has nothing to do with election results nor overturning the election.
The lawsuits and requests for recounts and attempts to delay state certifications are not about overturning the election...they are to extend the time they have to achieve the 5 points above. Mostly the longer it goes on and the more Trump continues to claim he did not lose...the more money they can scam supporters into giving him and Trump continues to demonstrate his power over his voters and Republicans who have to eat his crap and remain silent or face him saying things like he says in the video above about the Georgia governor, "I'm ashamed I supported him."
Ha, and all that Georgia governor ever did was kiss Trump's giant ass.
Trump and his family and his psycho followers are a danger to this country and to the world and they will continue to be even after he is out of the White House. In fact he will be potentially even more dangerous then because he will be completely unrestrained by anything and he will push 73 million people that follow him to go crazy with him. And a lot of them will.
