...and no, I don't want to put anybody in a reeducation camp. It's lousy how much faith in our media Trump was able to erode as they are the means of creating an informed public...something we honestly lack in many parts of the country. While FOX news claims they do not have a "news" network in court...their lawyers say they only provide "entertainment and opinion" and that should be obvious to anybody watching...quite honestly, most of their viewers seem to think they are getting news. Rather than reeducation camps I would simply require that there is a disclaimer repeated all day long on channels like FOX (Newsmax, One America) that states they are only providing opinions and entertainment with no actual facts, truth, or journalism involved. So that consumers of this "entertainment" are clear on what they are getting and really just drop the "News" from FOX and call it what they say it is "FOX Entertainment."

This way while I'm sure people would still be turning on fictional shows like Tucker Carlson, Hannity, Ingraham, etc, they maybe would be somewhat less likely to confuse them with reality. Thus maybe we would not end up with the level of lunacy we are seeing in this country right now.

The numbers hold that 74% of the 74 million that voted for Trump still believe we had a fraudulent election and Biden is an illegitimate president. That works out to about 54 million people living in a fantasy world. If we estimate that only a third of that 54 million are into the Q nonsense that works out to likely between 17 and 18 million people that border on what we could call clinically insane because they literally believe the world is being run by baby eating pedophiles.

Now if we stick to the rule of thirds and estimate a third of those 18 million Q followers are the most rabid and so most likely to actually commit violence based on their wacko beliefs that leaves us with maybe 6 million people, most likely armed and members of the groups that want to commit violent acts, to worry about.

Is 6 million people running around perhaps ready to blow something up or shoot someone, or kidnap and behead an elected official a small number?

I mean in my world 6 million seems like way too many. Hell, I don't at all that there could be 18 million Q followers or that 54 million people have been sold a ridiculous like. None of those numbers seem small to me.

If the numbers are potentially as large as they look, my guess is they dwarf the numbers of people who might believe the moon landing was faked or that Elvis is still alive and eats breakfast with Jim Morrison every morning.

But there were not major news networks, the internet, and actual elected politicians, including the president of the United States. selling fake moon landing stories and Elvis and Jim sightings. The big lie being sold now to these people has got way more traction. It is likely that it could grow because so many people will keep telling it.
