First, I will be behind any dem who goes up against the current in crowd, but must say some things on behalf of Kerry. First, the Bushites are some of the most diabolical strategists in politics and lined up the congressional vote on Iraq for a win, no matter if it had went Shrub's way or not. The pre-election push for a congressional vote was at the utmost height of political gamesmanship. He purposely pushed for a vote before the Nov elections so he could force the dems to go along with his war, otherwise the repubs would have gained more seats in congress. Look at what happened to Max Cleland (triple amputee Vietnam war vet) versus Saxby Chambliss (a pure chickenhawk). That bastard Chambliss linked Cleland to Osam Bin Forgotten and Saddam (Cleland voted against the Homeland Security bill because of the lack of union protection for workers). In my opinion, if Shrub had one ounce of integrity in his body he would have waited until after the midterm elections so a TRUE honest debate could have taken place in regards to Iraq.Second, in hindsight we get to sit back and look at all of the Bushies lies about Iraq (Rumsfeld's "bulletproof" link between Iraq and Saddam, the lie about the aluminum tubes for rockets, the lack of WMD's and the lie about the mobile WMD labs).Still, these are things that our "leaders" should have known about.EEE
