a word of caution. My father and my aunt hiked down into it a few years back (they were about 70 years of age at the time). They drank plenty of water but my aunt's sodium level dropped dangerously and she had seizures in the hut during the night and became unconscious. They had to helicopter her to a hospital in Flagstaff, AZ and made my dad hike back to the car and drive to the hospital, all the while not knowing if he was going to find his sister alive or dead. She recovered but doesn't remember a thing! So, don't forget the salty snacks and the water.
