I mean, I know people ask what happened to the Republicans and how did they slide into the pro-Putin camp but the answer is really kind of simple. It also began really with the shift in the party to wanting to run morons for office. Sarah Palin begged for a "guy like Putin" to lead this country at one point. 

Well, we got him in Donald Trump. A full on autocrat that attempted to decimate our democracy and continues to work at this rather heinous objective. This guy worships Putin and the kleptocracy he runs in Russia. Trump's statements calling Putin "brilliant" and a "genius" show where his ambitions lie. As the leader of the party, his elected followers in the party share his dream of turning the United States into a Putin style kleptocracy where they can rape this country and take whatever they desire. This is the "vision" they have and Putin is the "example" for them.

It will be fantastic if Putin's move into Ukraine is his undoing while at the same time Trump and his people are charged with crimes for attempting to defraud the American public and illegally overturn an election....this would be a great day for human beings on this planet.
