Okay, since this board is celebrating 25 years and so many changes have gone on, what musician/group/style that you once quite enjoyed has fallen a bit out of favor?
I used to be quite fond of NIN and would often listen to NIN during my rookie year when driving into work to get the blood flowing. I still like NIN and much of Reznor's soundtrack work and instrumentals, but don't listen to it as much anymore because it has grown a bit too dark with a bit too much despair for me.
Currently, I have really grown disenchanted with Springsteen over the ticket price issue of his concerts (even though I know that such tickets for 5k are quite rare) and what really has bothered me about that was his lack of comment over it and the dismissive comments made by his manager Jon Landau. This was even more troubling when he sold his music catalog for hundreds of millions of dollars making me ask, how much is enough?
What also disappointed me about Springsteen was his silence over people like Neil Young and other musicians when they were critical of Spotify over COVID disinformation.
So lately, when a Springsteen song randomly comes up on my player I skip it. And to me, this kind of sucks because I've been listening to Springsteen since my teen years.
