The key here is if you are a lawyer you can't help your client commit a crime or obvious fraud. If you do this attorney client privilege goes bye-bye and you can then be charged with a crime. The question is why do so many lawyers do this for Trump. I get that some just believed his lies but others did so willingly knowing they were helping commit a crime.
