I get it. I think that what we have, in several countries, not just the US of A, is a poisoning of the well by some fairly horrible people. I think the general idea is to inspire a hopelessness in people so they give up and just follow where these horrible people lead them.
The beginning was to poison the idea of the media, turn people against them and make them not trust the media.
Next was to poison the idea of education and make people not trust teachers and our educational system. The bastards did this here with something that does not even exist in our schools, Critical Race Theory, which really is just a lie to justify being a racist. So, it does two things, turns people against educators and turns them against other people. Wahoo!
Along with education, as it is sort of in the same bag, was to turn people against science. Make them not trust doctors and scientists. Covid 19 and vaccinations were used by Right Wing lunatics to score huge victories in this area. Sure, it killed a million people here but the Right cares nothing for human life unless it has not yet been born.
Next poison politics to the extent that nobody wants to participate or hear anything about it. We have people leaving politics in droves here because to be a politician here now is to have your family subject to death threats and require 24/7/365 protection. Why would a sane healthy person want to do that? The Right Wing politicians have attempted to be as horrible as they can, to drive their constituents toward violence and to portray all that won't go along with them as people that should be jailed or killed. It has worked wonderfully for the Right.
Accomplish these things and what do you have?
Distrust of the media cuts the people off from facts and truth and information they need.
Distrust of education dumbs down the society and leaves them cut off from knowledge that can help them.
Distrust science and medicine and you cut them off from healthcare that protects them.
Distrust politicians and you are cut off from the levers of power to compel change.
In the end, yes, you will own nothing, but I doubt happiness will come from this. The Right wants you to be angry, afraid, and helpless. Then you are compliant. You would then not even own your own thoughts.
