...is that had that happened it would have been a stamp of approval on everything Trump and the MAGA nuts have done. It would have said "Yes, we no longer want a Democracy in the United States. We no longer want elections." and a Red wave could not have happened without electing a whole bunch of MAGA nuts whose intent was to destroy the country and by default the rest of the planet.
The reason there was no Red wave is because Trump/Bannon/MAGA/Q pushed all these garbage candidates to the front and thankfully, people mostly rejected that crap. Bannon had developed a strategy, I forget what he called it, to get these nuts elected to all kinds of state government positions, where they could then poison the state governments and work to destroy elections at a state level, destroy school boards, and in general infect these states with the disease of MAGA.
From this position, if they won, they could then essentially have the states appoint their federal politicians rather than have an election. The failure of the Red wave to happen was, a rejection of Bannon and this plan. I will say the one good thing about DeSantis is he appears to want nothing to do with Bannon. For the moment they are at odds, primarily because Trump was Bannon's ticket to power and Trump was such a disgrace he had absolutely no shame in helping to execute the Bannon strategy.
So, a Red wave was not the way to go and was not something to root for as it would have just cemented the idea in the Republican party that MAGA insanity was the path to stay on. We came close to going down that road. The Republican party needs to be rebuilt and the start to that had to be a rejection of the scum that has been running the party since Trump was elected. We at least got that and now the Republicans are having that fight. It's DeSantis vs MAGA and for the moment, MAGA seems to be on the ropes.
