There was this whole story about him getting a liver transplant to save his life but that was a cover story. What really happened was he died, but in the contract with Nash and Stills they had the authority to have him injected with this glowing green goop that brought him back to life...a zombie Crosby...so they could continue to make money touring with him.
The truth is he is not the only one. Springsteen has been dead for over a decade. His wife Patty had him injected with the glowing green goop and Brooce the zombie has been churning out records and playing on Broadway. If you meet one of these guys in person, they just kind of moan and groan a lot not really seeming to be able to form words. They can perform for a couple to three hours but after that it is really babble and the green goop starts running out of their nose.
The thing is, you can only bring them back once with the goop, once they drop the second time that's it. Game over.
Pretty sure Billy Joel and Elton John are also zombies at this point.
