I've watched his youtube channel where he tells all the stories about the recording sessions for all the songs he has played on. He seems a very kind and gentle man, I'm not sure how he would take me bashing Mick over the head with a mandolin. I mean, Jackson Browne probably did not do stuff like that. But I mean, if he survived rock 'n' roll in the 1970s I'm sure he saw some things that were similar to me converting an octobass into an ancient torture device to use on Mick live on stage.
I met Charlie Haden once, I sort of snuck up behind him and said "Charlie Haden is the man!" and without out missing a beat he turned around and said "Thank you and who might you be?"
After an introduction, we chatted a bit, and he was just a great guy. Now, he was the type that would have helped me strap Mick down to the octobass and probably would have had more than a few truly amazing tips about how to use it on him.
