I definitely think I see things from my bubble and so there could be several things I am missing. Since Biden beat Trump in 2020, the good news for Democrats is they have not had to do much or even be competent campaigners. Trump became the Republican's worst nightmare when he lost and he is savaging the party. 

If Donald is taken out by all of his criminal activity, well, that is a double edged sword. He has been a gift to the Democrats but if he is removed...well...then the Democrats are going to have to start actually mounting some sort of plan to compete with whomever the Republicans are running.

Trump has been attacking and destroying the Republican party for almost 8 years now. It's been a great time to be a Democrat. Without Trump on their side, the Democrats are on their own again. Yes, they should crush a clown like DeSantis, but that's not a slam dunk. Trump guaranteed wins for the Democrats with little effort required from them. 

I mean I am happy to see Trump pay for his crimes but I hope he goes into total freakout mode and takes the rest of the party down with him.
