and this carnage will not end....and more will come.

I'm not trying to be insensitive to those in Maine, but let's be brutally honest - we were due for another mass shooting murder event and what follows?  From the right, the same shit - "thoughts and prayers," "now is not the time to talk about gun law," "guns don't kill people, people kill people" and on and on and on.

And really, what is truly more offensive (beyond the killing and injuries) - a person who wants to speak of gun laws or that person who discounts these preventable tragedies by uttering, "Now is not the time."

And is it not something that if almost any other manufactured product had as many deaths attached to it as guns, something would have been done already.

Lastly, laugh at this if you will, but one thing we really need is a historical grammarian or an expert in the written language and how people wrote back during the drafting of the Bill of Rights to decipher the Second Amendment because if they did, it could be learned exactly what the framer's intent was behind the Second Amendment simply by what rules of grammar that were present back then.  Because at the end of the day, I do not believe that those involved in the Bill of Rights would consent to what is going on today.
