and I just wanted to say "Hey!" I have a familiar name which is how I came to meet David almost 2 years ago on the Bird app that Elon ruined. I live in Paulding County, Georgia which is the southern most county of Marjorie Taylor Greene's Congressional District. David, being a liberal in a safe blue area, wanted to support me, being a Blue Dot in a bright MAGA sea of red, and Project Blue Dot was born. Several DBIS folks were an integral part of Project Blue Dot, including Kevin G, Stark Raving Brad, Ed Lorah, Bean Eel Kirschner, and Nina. David raised money for the Paulding County Democratic Party, and together we worked on projects such as developing information packets known as Fact Packs, writing post cards, and developing sticker campaigns to let "Blue Dots" in majority red districts know "You are not alone" aka YANA. The work of Project Blue Dot is not finished and, in fact, we are working on some new exciting roads to take it down.

Since losing Twitter as a forum to exchange ideas, I haven't really found somewhere else to do that, but every now and then would pop into DBIS to check it out. Recently, with the chaos in the world around us growing, I've seen some interesting discussions and was persuaded to go ahead and sign up, and so I did. I'm excited to be a part of your forum, but also know that I may inevitably bring up memories of your dear friend/sister, whom I wish I had had the privilege of meeting. I hope they are good memories and I hope that through my actions/words, I bring honor to your Andrea Baerwald's name.
