I know there are mixed feelings about John Mayer,on this board, with some people clearly not liking his music.  I loved the first CD. This new one, entitled Heavier Things, is quite good. Much more subtle than the debut, and a little more sophisticated songwriting. 

Roy Hargrove plays a great horn trumpet line on the 1st track, and talk about great musicians on this album...Lenny Castro on percussion(!), Greg Leisz on Lap Steel, and Jamie Muhoberac on Keys (didn't he play, write song(s) with DB?...the Crash, if I recall.
