I'd be on my way to get you right now and get you the hell out of the house. So, you could not be in there ranking mass murderers and counting dead children all day. We'd go out, drink something, sit around a fire, eat some food, harass passersby, sing some songs, and be polite to the ladies...always be polite to the ladies. 

I worry about you, Mick. I mean I get wound up too. I internalize the mayhem. I had sleepless nights when the news here kept talking about those 50 babies that were all on the verge of dying in a hospital with no power, no heat, no food, no water...and you think "Jesus, wouldn't people pause to help? To save 50 little babies? Then go back to the killing."

We can't be submerged in those thoughts all the time, it is not good for us, and it will break us down so we are not good for others. In some ways that is part of what the bastards want. I know how you feel and I feel the same. My resolution for this new year is not to let that devour me. I do think we can beat these bastards. This bunch we are dealing with now, and sure others will follow, but they will likely end up being somebody else's bastards to deal with because our time has passed. 

We can't let it all pass submerged in sadness and rage and bitterness. We need to spend some of what we have celebrating our world and each other. The amazing things we do are as stunning as the horrors we commit. There are two sides, light and dark...one not existing without the other. Let the light in as often as you visit the dark.
