Icon Genuine Awe!

Photographs from the new James Webb Space Telescope, like the ones from its predecessor, The Hubble Space Telescope, induce a genuine sense of awe and wonder in all who view them. But those NASA images can't compete with video of a Walgreens getting ripped off or of desperate people crossing the border. The truly sublime images of galaxies living, and long since dead are not telegenic and don't fire up the amygdala the way outrage and fear do.  And the billions of years your post references, David, is surely bunk for the 30 million Americans who are young Earth (10,000 years old) creationists. It's beyond tragic that the attention of so many humans is ruled by our lizard brains. Such an opportunity cost!
