It's not entirely clear about the pay rate.  There are some documents that show Nathan Wade was paid $250/hour while John Floyd was paid $150/hr and later $200/hr.  Floyd has been noted as a subject matter expert on RICO cases while Wade has no experience with RICO cases (he was most recently a municipal judge dealing with traffic tickets and family law).  Is it that relevant they were paid different rates?  How much does their experience play into the decision to pay them what they were paid?  Who knows...that's what the trial will determine, amongst other things.
