I have the misfortune of being of German and Scottish heritage, which seems to have imbued me with a pitch black and absurd sense of humor that other people often can't get a read on...or they take a rather long pause before they laugh at whatever I say.
I guess the humor comes from the Scottish side because on my travels to Germany, when I would try out my sense of humor on Germans...they would stare blankly at me. I've not been to Scotland yet but I feel like they may laugh at some of my foolishness.
