Yes, I don't mean to say it is laugh out loud funny, it is black comedy I believe.

David wrote a line in a song that said:

The drive to self-destruction is so very, very strong.

I think the Republican party, or whatever is left of it totally embodies that line now. Joe Biden, no Democrat, could do as much damage to the Republican party as they have done to themselves. I feel like we should just enjoy that they are doing it because by all accounts, they are doing the total opposite of what they should be doing if they were trying to win elections. It makes zero sense and the harm they do to themselves pretty much daily, is beyond comprehension.

I think the two major things that really brought it all crashing down finally are Trump losing those two civil cases where he now owes more than half a billion dollars and the Trump hostile takeover of the RNC. This was it, the camel's back has broken. There is now nothing the Republicans can do and now there is absolutely nothing left they will do. They are literally standing on the deck of the Titanic, looking at the iceberg, and saying "Full speed ahead!" and they are going to ram that thing and the ship is going down.

MAGA fools are out there on the deck cheering this on, despite the fact that it means they will meet their doom. Guys like Ken Buck are already getting on the lifeboats and lowering them into the sea. They are getting the hell out before the crash.

I admit all of this looks terrible and embarrassing for us as a country but it also means that the Republican party will have a reckoning soon and will need to decide what any of the survivors become. It's not at all funny that this is all going to cost and is costing innocent lives, both here and abroad. There is no humor in that.

Last night, Trump called for a bloodbath if he does not win. I think he knows he is not going to win because as both of us noted, the strategy they are working on right now is to file a bunch of lawsuits challenging the election results and working to create total mayhem. They have thrown all the voter outreach stuff in the trash, their plan to get Republicans to vote early by mail in the garbage, and they have two stated goals.

1. All money the RNC takes in belongs to Donald Trump and goes only to him.

2. Prepare the lawsuits to challenge the election results.

This is quite honestly, an utter disaster for anybody that claims they are a Republican.

Trump is not even trying to win back Republican voters he has lost. FOX news claims nearly 6 out of ten of Republican Nikki Haley voters say they will not vote for Trump in the general election. That will amount to millions of voters because 2.9 million people did vote for her in the primaries she was in.

Trump also said when asked about this that he does not need those voters. I find it hard to believe that he believes that it is so off the wall stupid. He's letting them go. That puts him so far behind the 8 ball he may as well just start asking his crazed followers to start shooting people right now.

He can't win. He can't afford to lose millions of Republican votes and he is set up to do just that.

I don't know what his vision is, but since he does not have much of an imagination, he probably is hoping it looks like this:
