So, they found a silver monolith in the middle of nowhere in the United States and recently they found one in the middle of nowhere in Wales.. Somebody went to great effort to lug the stuff out to the middle of nowhere and assemble these things. Of course, a person or more likely persons did it, but once found, and I think because we still have in the collective consciousness a love for Stanley Kubrick (or I do anyway), people want to invent theories of some higher intelligence having placed these things there.
I see it as really high level practical joking but I mean, I do hilariously in my mind see a bunch of MAGA twits approaching it like the apes in 2001 and touching it...then beating the living snot out of each other with primitive clubs.
Sure, I have issues.
