The Immediate Family documentary is now on Hulu. I've been waiting on this to stream for some time and the wait was worth it. This documentary mainly follows four exceptional session musicians who played about on every major record in the 70s and beyond.
One part I found especially interesting was when they spoke about the change in music technology and what it meant in regard to changes in recording (basically, those that played traditional instruments were sort of pushed aside for the introduction of synthesizers and electronics.
I think this documentary is also a look at an era that has passed and is quickly fading into the past.
