Probably, the best-case scenario on this is they convict him, find him guilty, and give him no jail time. I don't know exactly what would happen if they put Trump in jail, but in the weird world he exists in, it probably would be good for him. He deserves to go to jail, it is probably not a good example to set, not to send him to jail, but it probably would be horrible for us as a country. Particularly because of the crimes involved here. In truth, he could have just had this reduced to a misdemeanor charge that he pled guilty to. Of course, Trump being Trump, he refused to do that and has used this as his campaign and access to free massive press coverage every day.
I think the verdict here should be guilty but without locking him up. If you lock him up, a lot of people will have no understanding for why he is going to jail. It will solidify in their minds that something wrong is being done to him. So, I hope the jury asks the judge if they can have a guilty verdict without jail time. This would ensure there is a guilty verdict, Trump did all of the things he was charged with, but for the good of the nation, perhaps just send him home in shame with that verdict.
I would write an extremely important speech about why he will not be locked up for these crimes but that he is guilty of them, should serve a punishment, but that punishment should come in the form of the people of this country rejecting him as a presidential candidate ever again. It is a bad look, even though he deserves it, for us to lock up a former US president and if we did, it should be on much more serious charges, like the ones brought against him in the federal cases.
What he did with the top secret documents is a case that deserves jail time. What he did to try to cling to power and inciting an attack on the capitol deserves jailtime. Conning his own supporters by falsifying business records and paying off a porn star and playmate to influence the election, which is hugely antidemocratic and unamerican and a betrayal of this country, probably should not land him in jail.
It should be used to expose who he is, find him guilty of felony charges, so that it is understood voting for this guy is voting for a felon. In a way, that crime was committed only against his supporters, they were the ones he was trying to con and pull the wool over their eyes. Not the rest of us, for the rest of us it was easy to see what he was doing. So, in the end, this was a crime he was committing against his own supporters, and oddly, they don't care. The victims in this case support being fooled. F-ed up, but true.
