Because of the change in US culture, I have grown fond of music documentaries and especially of things that were very important, but were still sort of under the radar in a way (for example, how today's culture utilizes radio to how it once was).

This documentary on NY's Z100 radio station in the 80s popped up on Amazon Prime and documents Tampa radio disc jockey Scott Shannon's move to NY to try and take Z100 from last to first place in the ratings. 

Shannon is so amusing. 

While watching this, one thing that struck me was how recording artists will likely never get that adrenaline-push from hearing their song on the AM/FM radio for the first time, which means we will never hear such tales again.  It also documents the passing of broadcast radio and forces us who lived through the power of radio to lament the passing of all those wonderful things that came with listening to AM/FM radio.
