Absolutely, I'm not saying that what happened guarantees Trump a victory, I am just saying the whole thing, which almost seemed perfectly staged and scripted gave Trump a brand new element to campaign on. Basically one that shows him as this "strong hero" rising up from being shot, pumping his fist, yelling fight at his supporters and that this will be shown as a contrast to Biden, looking frail and confused.
I think, as others do, that most voters are already decided, you are not going to sway Biden voters to Trump using this event, not at all, but those undecided, or even potentially the Republican voters that had switched to Biden, well, they may switch back to Trump. That's my concern.
Hopefully, people understand the issues, they grasp what Project 2025 is, that it is about ending our democracy, and that Trump, now is likely to be even more unhinged if granted access to power.
I don't see anything good about this event, I don't see it as being something that will help save this country. I think it will raise tempers and emotions. Marge Greene began using it seconds after it happened, in a really bad way.
