I don't think I personally know anyone who supports tRump et al. Mainstream opinion is generally that he is a nutty narcissist, who is in it for the money and to avoid getting put in jail. 
Obviously, Denmark being a more or less fully functioning democracy, which ATM has 13 ! parties that ran for the last election (9 got in), there are a couple who does support him, but it has more to do with them thinking that the woke left has gone to far or they hate centralization and to much power in the government.

(I personally also think that the US woke left are nuts, but giving the alternative I would never vote Republican for that reason alone, If I lived in the US and had to Vote in your crazy system.) ... I find it utterly weird that some US school libraries now have more explicit sex education comics than Denmark who were the first to legalize the publication of picture porn in 1969. 

In any case the US election IS covered extensively in the news, since it is generally understood, that every time the US burps, gets a hick-up or a cough, we either get a volcanic eruption, an earthquake or a pandemic or a war - metaphorically speaking - sort of...
