That ad is fantastic, isn't it? I just spent almost 4.5 hours on 3 different organizing phone calls and the atmosphere in all of these meetings is nothing short of electric! One was nonpartisan, League of Women Voters that will work on getting people registered to vote, provide rides to voters, and will present a forum for candidates in the region.
Another call was geared to white women because more white women have previously voted for, and helped to elect trump and we need to get to work encouraging more white women to vote in their best interests-#Harris2024. On that call, there were 160,000+ women including Pink, Meghan Rapinoe, Senator Gillibrand, the founders of Indivisible and Moms Demand Action (For Gun Control). In addition to breaking Zoom and the internet, in 2 hours those women raised $2 million for the Harris Campaign. The other call was the launch of Women for Harris in Georgia. Both of these calls gave women marching orders of items to accomplish in the next week or 2.
On Sunday, Win With Black Women organized a Zoom event that necessitated asking the Zoom CEO to expand capacity of the call. In a matter of hours after Kamala Harris declared that she was running for president, they raised $1.6 million for the Harris Campaign. Not to be outdone, on Monday night, a group of black men also had a huge Zoom gathering and raised about the same amount to help elect Kamala Harris' campaign.
On Tuesday, Georgia's enthusiasm will be over the moon when VP Kamala Harris will be visiting Atlanta. I'm excited to have been invited to that event. It's going to be huge and when I told people I could send them invitations for the event, I was inundated with requests!
The Democratic Campaign for President 2024 has new life and I'm here for it!
NOW, who do you think the VP pick will be? Ideas?
