I listened to the interview tonight and I thought Harris held her own against an interviewer who I felt tried to inappropriately talk over her. Would he have done that to a male candidate? IDK. Does he do that to TW? I noticed there were times when he tried to present versions of things that TW said that I think he knew she would probably mention but were not the most caustic examples of what he had said. For example, the whole "enemy within" crap that he tried to get away with.
I think she really held her own. She called him out when she needed to. She DID NOT let him talk over her but instead remained on topic and continued what she was saying and reminded him that she was talking and trying to answer the first question that he asked her before he unprofessionally, IMO, interrupted her and tried to get her off track and flustered. May work with HIS guy put NOT with VP Harris, soon to be POTUS.
I thought he did not give her the dignity that the office of VPOTUS deserves. I think that he would have never questions his guy like that. BUT she took it like the strong, qualified, best candidate for 2024 we have. She showed the FAUX News world that she is not stupid and weak and whatever other derogatory attribute TW and the MAGAts have thrown at her. She showed Earth 2 people that what they have been hearing may not be exactly right. She also talked about plans she had.
All in all, I think it was a phenomenal interview. I applaud her for going into the lion's den, so to speak. I wasn't worried that she would fail there. She certainly met and even exceeded my expectations. I am so looking forward to calling her President Kamala Harris, but I'm not counting my chickens yet. Still doors to knock and phone calls to make.
PLEASE everyone you can do your part very easily while staying in your comfort zone. Here are some easy ways for YOU to make sure #47 is our first Woman president! 1) VOTE EARLY!!!! If your state allows early voting, vote the first few days that you can. This will free up organizers to NOT have to call, text, or knock your door to tell you to vote and they can concentrate on people who haven't voted. Plus, those calls, texts, and knocks will decrease. 2) When you go to vote, maybe take a couple of friends with you. OR at least check in with 3-5 of your friends or family and remind them to vote and to vote early. IF you feel comfortable maybe check and see if they are planning to vote for Kamala/Tim and if not maybe come up with one reason why you ARE voting Harris/Walz. 3) Check with friends and family and see if someone needs a ride to the polls. Or you can see if they need a ride to hand deliver their mail in ballot to a drop box location. Check your local election laws about dropbox locations and who can deliver mail in ballots to drop boxes. The republicans in many states have made dropbox rules that make it more difficult to drop off ballots. Try NOT to mail your mail in ballot if at all possible. Louis DeJoy, Postmaster General that TW appointed has fucked up the USPS so badly that I don't trust my ballot to get to elections office unless I hand deliver it.
Did you listen to Charlemagne the God interview? If so what did you think?
