I've thought about that too. And even though it could have cost a future Senate seat I think she would have been better served with Mark Kelly as the VP. Regardless, I think she missed an opportunity in crafting her mea culpa around his framing - Democrats may have been a little slower to acknowledge the magnitude of the issue (thanks to wolf criers and chicken littles exploiting the issue over and over in the past) but are the ones serious about a thoughtful response to the problem rather than kicking around a political football.
