So, here is how I would sort of sum up what Elon wants to see happen with the government, what he would call efficiency. It's simple, whenever and whomever Elon calls, the phone is always answered, and his needs are always attended to as swiftly as possible. For the rest of us, there will be no number to call, nobody to pick up the phone, and nobody to care what you need. Every agency, representative, official that would have spoken to you or assisted you will no longer exist.

Efficiency to Musk, will be to take things from all of us, and give things to the wealthy and the least needy. Rights, public lands, clean environment, your say in how the country is run...kiss them all goodbye. 

I think the DOGE is going to probably end up a department much like the Nazis would have created. I know I am not supposed to say Nazi, but I am not calling anyone a Nazi, just pointing out a similarity. It sounds like something and is promoted as something that will clean up government waste, but really it will be about draconian maneuvers to funnel the money into the pockets of those that need it least. It will create suffering and hardship for the majority of America, and destroy any sort of functional government. 

At least a government that functioned for the people.

The expedience you will see will be just the rapid removal of laws, rules, regulations that would slow these people down from just taking whatever they want. That's the efficiency they are going for. Remove the regulations and shutter the agencies that would have enforced them. 

Remember that thing we had, I think it was called Covid, well, when Trump came into office the first time there was in place a special response team to address and minimize the damage of pandemics. Trump and Republicans immediately shuttered it. Gone, because they said, wasteful, we did not need that. Turned out well didn't it. Millions dead, chaos, freezer trucks on the streets to hold the dead bodies, lots of meaningless finger pointing and blame passed around as people died. 

Trump has chosen people to fill positions that will assure that we are unprepared for most of the awful things that could happen, and that will more than likely make far worse these problems when they do occur. He picked a foreign intelligence asset to be our Director of National Intelligence. Do you wonder at all why he would do that? Who he is doing that for?

I find Musk to basically be cut from the same cloth as Trump. He is only concerned about himself, he tells people what they want to hear, he does not like this country or the people in it unless they will blindly follow him. He wants to be worshipped. I think Elon is smarter than Donny, but Trump connects better and appears more charming to the public. Also Trump knows who butters his bread, Musk and two other billionaires saved Trump's campaign. They bought a president to serve them right in front of all of us and weirdly, some people cheered this on. 

The argument phase is over, Pat. Trump and Musk, and MAGA, won everything. They have total control at least for the next two years. There is no point in me trying to convince you of anything. We are all on the ride now, strapped in, and you hear the clink, clink, clink as it is climbing the first hill, before plunging us to our fate.

He's not a genius, he's not a brilliant businessman, he is not a savior of the people. He is a bullshit artist with a lot of money and no loyalties. He also thinks he is always right, always, even when he is shown openly to be wrong...still right.
