So, I agree with your A, B, and C.
A. I am counting on this one. I do think this is a bunch or vipers in a barrel and they will bite each other. I don't think they can trust each other and won't. These guys all have their own little agenda and Trump just wants to steal as much as he can. The rampant stupidity within the movement does have me convinced they will make huge mistakes and begin to point fingers at one another. Then MAGA will eat itself. Yes, I agree with the article you linked to, this will be a tough fight, there will be losses along the way, but the goal has to be to minimize the losses and allow for a rebuilding once we get past this. We certainly did not need this detour when time itself is working against us, but we now must face it is one more problem added to the list to cope with.
B. Yes, the experts on making things move slowly, that know where exactly to pour the sand, now are our heroes. Our frontline fighters. They must come through. Basically, watching the Republican machine work now for years, grinding everything to a standstill, constantly having the government on the verge of a shutdown, taking everything up to a deadline, finding only a temporary solution, so they can repeat the process, so progress is never made, well, it shows it can be done. It is no way to run a country, but it appears to be the way they want it run...for now. They want a two year sprint of destruction, a clear green field to just run wild across, but our experts in red tape have to mine that field and make them crawl. I think that is the way. They have to slow their progress to inches at a time for the next 18 months and let them hoist themselves on their own petards.
C. Greed is blinding and not the best recipe for unity. Trump is too stupid and greedy a man to be aware of how his actions could blow-up in his face. As I understand things, he is going to delegate everything and let the guys with the plans do what they want to do. He will concern himself with revenge and asking over and over where his cut is. Remove regulations, destroy all regulatory bodies, continue to attack the justice system, and ensure as much chaos as possible. I think it is funny that they are saying that they want a Department of Government Efficiency while also asking that there be no debt ceiling. That's a combo that says the real intent is to skyrocket the debt, spend, spend, spend, but make sure that money goes into the pockets of his family and the wealthy oligarchs and buddies. The middle class will be raped again, his followers won't see it coming, and they will openly wonder how we added trillions and trillions to the deficit while Musk pretended to be making cuts. I can see the overreach coming, I guess it will be a matter of how much of the public understands what is happening.
As for me, I feel kind of full of self-doubt about whatever I think I am seeing, because I missed so badly on this past election. I basically don't trust myself and my own thoughts and ability to see the situation with some sort of clarity. When Trump won in 2016, I could see how that happened. This time, I just don't understand it. I know he lied and made empty promises to Muslims, union workers, regular people that he told he would slash prices and destroy inflation, all on day one...and he now is going in the opposite direction on all of that. Musk told the truth, he said things were going to get worse and harder for people under Trump, but it would get better for the wealthy, they will make trillions, while the woman standing in the supermarket will wonder why her eggs and milk are costing her even more.
I think there will be major blowback for all of this at the midterms, but I don't trust my own thoughts. I feel lost, brother, just in unknown territory. You are right, predictions right now are a total crapshoot. We need to see how it plays out and how the country reacts. I can't see them liking what is coming.
