From the start, MAGA opponents are doing the same goddamned thing all over again even though it didn't work the first time. 

For starters, focusing on the horrors of Donald Trump does not fucking work anymore, so what is going on? The same goddamned thing - focus on the horrors.

People need to figure this out: FUCKING MAGA DOES NOT CARE, nor do fucking White people seeing what these fuckers are lying about because they are processing what they are being TOLD and whites are being told they are losing their standing in both the world and America and only MAGA can save them (I think this is what Bannon drilled down on back in 2015 and this is what Right Wing Media has been declaring loud and clear since Rush Limbaugh and it is working and will continue to work).

Let me make this point, too: For 30 years, I existed in the world of White male Republicans and of good Democrats I have been around, especially rural ones, I have been told countless times that they believe the Democratic Party left them. THAT is how borderline Democrats I'm familiar with feel.  Now, these are not my beliefs, but I do believe this is how folks like that strongly feel. And this will assist this migration to a more dangerous White Nationalistic Tribalism where a person's race becomes more and more important.

For example, the attack in NO - people do not care if he was an illegal immigrant or not - especially MAGA because MAGA is going to tie it to POC and illegal immigration any way it can. They have found, immigrants are one of the best weaponized missiles around - as David pointed out, immigrants have been weaponized and largely blamed for the destruction of the pure blood of Americans - their creative narrative, both openly and under the surface, is that they are the reason for White decline in the US. This includes all others not White, male and straight.

I've given up on my opus of what I think went on in Nov because it is both too easy and too complex to adequately map out, but what it basically is is that we are slouching toward a population of  White Nationalist Tribalism.

From Manifest Destiny to American Exceptionalism, we Americans have been built with this ingrained belief we are special and own EVERYTHING and MAGA is taking this to new heights.

Globalism has led to a new form of capitalism that only creates winners and losers and endless competition to reign on top and that is feeding Americans to exist in a system of winners and losers of the highest order.

But back to my original point - focusing on the horrors of MAGA is going to do us no good because it only amplifies the path toward more White Tribalism and if one is honest about many of the Democratic policies, they assist in things like this.  For example, rather than focus on true equality, we have fell in to a bath of "identity politics" that washes away the interpretation of a genuine path to true equality. Which then leads to arguments over less important but explosive things (most of these things being lies and misrepresentations, but they work for MAGA).

What I mean by this is that the Democratic Party is a true melting pot party and instead of focusing on our multiple identities, the main narrative should be equality for all and not the focus being on our fragmented parts because when that happens, not only does MAGA focus on the part and push THEIR narrative on that part (i.e., how Harris was going to have the taxpayer pay for gender reassignment for prison inmates) becomes the focus instead of "equality for all."

Democrats must face this, too: we are the sum of our parts, while the MAGA/Republican Party is more of a homogenous party - those fuckers are all alike and think alike, so it makes it so much easier for them to not only stay on message, but to make narratives for their messages that stick better and define the messages of the Left.

What our party must do is build a narrative of why the Democratic Party is the party of genuine people and of all the good it has done for PEOPLE.

Screaming words like "fascist" when a large portion of the ignorant American population doesn't even know what that fucking word means does no good (seriously, go out and ask morons what the word fascist means and I guarantee most answers will end up being something like "a stern father figure willing to paddle some ass.").

Here is a link to a 20-minute interview of a political scholar who explains why he feels the Dem Party keeps losing important elections.  It really is good and goes back to Clinton-Gore and how their push of college while ignoring trade schools and labor actually did more harm than good for Dem voters (he feels working people felt it to be a slap in the face of labor - and he's right).

He also touches on aspects of Durkheim while not mentioning him in name by pointing out how a shared collective consciousness regarding behavior is important in a well-functioning society.
