I just found this yesterday and have spent most of the time perusing through the site - excellent job! Of course the news about a new Baerwald CD made it even sweeter... Mr. Baerwald, the check and envelope will be arriving next week. I had picked up the HURLYBURLY cd a few months ago and had the pleasure of regaining a copy of BEDTIME STORIES in the past year. I've been a fan since BOOMTOWN and had the pleasure of catching DB live at Slim's in SF during his BEDTIME STORIES tour. Good to know that the music business hasn't ground him down - TRIAGE is easily among the best 5 albums in the past decade and it was a crime that the album never really got the recognition from the public that it deserved.
I had the pleasure of knowing Susan Ricketts for a short time while in SF - we were working at the same law firm (this was '91 - at the time of the Gulf War) and hung out a bit, having discovered somewhat mutual sensibilities - I ended up in her acting workshop that she taught before moving to L.A. I had noticed a cassette tape of BOOMTOWN on a table and had remarked idly that it was one of my favorite records - then was informed that she was David Ricketts' sister. I hope she's doing well.
